Mswenko of a Nation
Mswenko of a Nation commissioned by DStv, a prominent satellite television provider in Africa, celebrates the synergy between fashion and football in South African culture. “Mswenko," which means "style” in Zulu, encapsulates the essence of this project, aiming to generate interest in the “Pulse of a Nation” documentary.
Pulse of a Nation is a four-part football documentary that delves into the heart of South African culture, exploring the rich history and passion behind the nation’s favourite sport.
Mswenko of a Nation includes a grassroots photoshoot in Soweto with football influencers and fashion creators, insightful interviews, behind-the-scenes content, and influencer-driven promotions across various social and channels, such as SuperSport and Mzansi Magic.
I was responsible for this project from start-to-finish: coming up with the idea, successfully pitching it to client, directing the still photos and behind the scenes shoots, overseeing production of all assets for the campaign, and retouching and grading the final still images.
